I’m lucky enough to call Mexico home. However, it wasn’t until I moved abroad I realized how beautiful my country was. I’ve done my fair share of traveling; still there’s so much of my homeland I haven’t seen. For example, San Miguel de Allende, Gto. – Which is about 174 miles south from Rio Verde, S.L.P. –(my hometown.)
SIDENOTE: On my most recent Dallas trip, I told my strikingly handsome blue-eyed friend William, I was spending a couple months home. I suggested him to visit me while I was here, surprisingly he did! Being that, I arranged plans to visit this wonderful place during his stay. #yourewelcome and thank you for being my photog. – I believe he did a terrific job, don’t you think?
Located in the high desert mountains of Mexico, San Miguel de Allende is a tourist destination beloved by gringos and Mexicans alike. I can see why: cobblestone streets cut across the city, mango and paprika colors light up residence facades while old colonial buildings can be spotted all around. – Am I in a Diego Rivera mural?
It only took me an afternoon at El Jardin (where the stunning pink limestone Parroquia de San Miguel de Archangel is). To realize “San Mike” –as we Mexicans call it”– is both dynamic and enchanting. At dust, this plaza is overflowing with folks and Mariachi sounds, which makes it the perfect spot to enjoy some churros from the restaurant San Agustin; owned by well-known actress Margarita Gralia. Since we are talking about food, let me just tell you that the culinary diversity of this town is every foodie dream. #foodporn
Such captivating place deserved a photo-worthy outfit. Hence, I wore my new printed ZARA pants. – Btw, you better get used to seeing me wearing florals this spring because I’m still obsessed with them. – Deal with it! I also put on H&M’s “Selected by Beckham” linen-blend blazer and shirt, plus a straw hat to keep it fresh and tropical.
I topped off my ensemble with a pair of HAZE Collection sunglasses and Stacy Adams cap toe shoes, elegantly made. They sure look peerless, although I don’t think they were the most comfortable alternative to slip-on and walk down petrous roads. – Well, you know what they say: FASHION HURTS!
